Yes on 552: WA State on GMO Labeling; CT Measure Passed June 1

The vote is coming up in November, and activists in WA are preparing. A similar bill failed passage in California--but barely---after corporate entities in opposition spent about $45 million to stop it.

On June 1, the Connecticut Senate passed a compromise labeling bill. CT was the first to pass any GMO of any kind.

The mandate would take effect after four other states, including one that borders Connecticut, enact a similar law. Also, it requires the aggregate population of any Northeast states (Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York, Pennsylvania or New Jersey) that enact such labeling laws to comprise a population of more than 20 million people."  More here.
